Josh Spendlove is a learning and capability leader with more than 15 years of experience helping people build confidence, communicate more clearly and grow their capability at work.
His background spans healthcare, finance, telecommunications and customer operations. Across that time, he has supported executives, middle managers, emerging leaders and graduates through coaching, leadership development and capability uplift in complex organisational environments.
Josh has worked across Australia and the Philippines and led enterprise learning strategies supporting workforces of more than 178,000 people. Most recently, he led a 40+ person training function across 33 programs at NSW Health.
He began his career in frontline customer and technical support roles at Optus before moving into learning and capability roles across Optus, ANZ and eHealth NSW/NSW Health. That experience gave him a practical understanding of people, pressure and the impact communication can have. It also shaped his view that the best learning stays human and connected to the person on the receiving end.
What Josh enjoys most is helping people grow in confidence and feel clearer in how they communicate. He cares about creating learning experiences that feel modern, practical and relevant, and believes workplace learning must continue to evolve to meet the needs of emerging talent and the future workforce.
Having experienced The Colin James Method® earlier in his own career, Josh remains a strong advocate for the impact of excellent communication. He brings that belief into his coaching work, helping people communicate with more intention and unlock more of their potential.
